"Target Hitler "is a thriller-style chronicle of all the plots and conspiracies to kill Adolf Hitler, culminating in the July 20, 1944, bomb plot set by Col. Klaus von Stauffenberg. "Valkyrie," a film starring Tom Cruise as Hitler's would-be assassin, is set to be released in 2008. The fi lm has already had a considerable amount of publicity because of the lavish United Artists production at the famous Babelsberg Studios in Berlin and the controversy surrounding its star. The many plots to kill Hitler all failed, and the final plot that almost succeeded was the most spectacular of them all.
