What's in That Egg?
Author(s): Becky Baines
Eggs are awesome packages - a little mystery of life all wrapped up in a durable, often beautifully coloured wrapping. They also make for some fairly fabulous science for young kids. Think of the size difference between the eggs of an ostrich and a hummingbird...think of a chick having to use a special tooth to break out into the world...think of what it would be like if humans were born in eggs! Wow! In zigzag fashion, these books introduce real science, real science vocabulary, and use the first principle of the scientific method, which is ask, answer, and ask again.
