Eggs are awesome packages - a little mystery of life all wrapped up in a durable, often beautifully coloured wrapping. They also make for some fairly fabulous science for young kids. Think of the size difference between the eggs of an ostrich and a hummingbird...think of a chick having to use a special tooth to break out into the world...think of what it would be like if humans were born in eggs!
