When she read a newspaper account of Herman Rosenblat's tale of survival, she was so moved she knew she had to find him and find a way to tell his story to children. She lives in Florida, USA. Ofra Amit is an award-winning illustrator of books for both adults and children, including A Girl From There, a Holocaust memorial book for adults. Her work has won several major awards and she has been selected for the Bologna Children's Book Fair illustrating Andersen Award 2009. She lives in Israel.
