Author description

Helen McCarthy is the author of nine books about Japanese animation and comics, including the first book in English language devoted to anime, and the Harvey Award-winning "The Art of Osamu Tezuka: God of Manga" for Ilex. She curated the Osamu Tezuka Film Festival at London's Barbican Centre, and is developing a three-part documentary on the history of manga.
