Author-illustrator Vicky Woodgate has been illustrating for over 10 years, and has a fascination with wildlife going back to her childhood. The daughter of a wildlife ranger, she studied design and illustration at the Chelsea College of Arts, then started her career as a scenic artist in the TV, film and theme park industry. Since then, Vicky has worked on numerous magazines, newspapers and books, though Urban Jungle is the first book she has written. Vicky has always had a passion for wildlife, and loves travelling, writing and drawing maps. She is currently based in Brighton in the UK.
