Author description

Martin Waddell is widely acknowledged as one of the greatest living writers of books for children. His work includes the multi-million selling Big and Little Bear series. He has won many awards, including the prestigious Hans Christian Andersen Award in 2004. Martin lives in Northern Ireland. Jill Barton studied for a degree in Illustration at Manchester Polytechnic as a mature student and has now illustrated many children's books, including The Rattletrap Car by Phyllis Root and the popular Baby Duck stories by Amy Hest. Jill lives in Devon and has three children.
