Jewel of Urbino Midi Urbino Lined Blue

Author(s): Paperblanks

Stationery & Gift Items

Regal tones and a pedigreed history are hallmarks of our Jewel of Urbino journals. The original binding printed in 1755 contained an Italian translation of a religious treatise written in French and hails from Urbino, the legendary walled city in the Marche region of Italy. The medieval city of Urbino is located high on a steep slope and is a designated World Heritage Site. The Duomo cover is named after the city's cathedral, a prominent local landmark. Metauro is the name of the river flowing through the Marche region, whose hills and vineyards invite frequent comparisons to the much more famed Tuscany. Both designs feature a strap closure.
